Children's House First Thursday Topics Set

First Thursday is a monthly parent education program presented by the Children's House teachers from 8:45 - 9:30 am in the Treehouse Room. The programs are generally specific to the Children's House level and topics will differ from month to month. This year's schedule of topics is listed below.

Any family is welcome to attend any or all programs, including families currently at other levels! First Thursdays are opportunities for parents and friends of the community (both West Side and the local area) to learn more about Montessori through the eyes of children, teachers and other Montessori parents. 

Make plans to come, meet other parents, and learn more about the Montessori method of learning. Tours of the new purpose-built classrooms will be available following the program.

November 1:  Writing: Before the pencil by Amy W. and Jacque

December 6:  The Spirit of Giving by Jacque and Nikki

January:  No First Thursday 

February 7:  Hola and Bonjour:  Exploring World Languages by Lorena, Margaret and Cory

March 7:   Reading, Writing, Singing and Dancing! by Risa and Amy W.

April 11:  Montessori Math:  Exploring the Bead Cabinet by Brandi and Amy L.

May 2:   Montessori in your home by Nikki and Wendi
