Kindergarten Visits MacQueen Orchards

Fall is for apples and two days before the official beginning of the Autumnal Equinox the West Side Montessori kindergarten class visited MacQueen Orchards to learn more about this delicious fruit. The visit included discussion of the nutritional value of apples and what it is like to work on an orchard. The students toured the cider mill, the apple orchard, and saw the process for washing and preparing the apples.
