Black Cherry Students Become “Explorers of Antarctica”
Black Cherry Students take a journey as “Antarctica Explorers” through the continent of Antarctica. On our journey we came across a penguin that was stuck in the thick Antarctica ice. We took “shifts” of two chipping away the ice. The penguin was finally recused during circle time, we had a blanket (towel) and room temp (miniature) bath ready to revive the penguin. We read and discussed two published stories, the first was about real “Antarctica Explorers” that really did get “stuck in the ice” and second story was about a penguin that was rescued when it lost it’s was 2,500 miles away from his home in Antarctica. This entry was posted in Black Cherry.
