Earth Day 2014 by Emma Morgenstern and Rebecca Martin

Posted on by Monarch

Last Tuesday, April 22, the Upper Elementary classrooms of Karner Blue and Monarch celebrated Earth Day. The Environmental Club, consisting of sixth, fifth, and fourth graders, had a matter of days to set up this extravagant celebration.

The Environmental Club made a wonderful decision on inviting the third, soon-to-be fourth graders, to their Earth Day Celebration. The Earth Day Celebration included three activities: A trail walk, a station in which to make your own bird feeders, and a worm examination station. To wrap it all up, a few students from the Environmental Club picked out an “earthy” song to teach and sing with their other classmates.

We hope to have taught everyone that each and everyday can be Earth Day.
