Red Ribbon Week Begins March 17
By: Emma Morgenstern (a sixth level student as part of a health class assignment)
During this exciting week, the students will be involved in entertaining games and fun activities, such as face painting, to raise awareness. On Monday, a D.A.R.E. officer from the Lucas County Sheriff will be giving a speech to all of the Upper Elementary and Middle School students. On Tuesday, we are doing face painting during morning child care and recess. On Wednesday, we are having a “mix-it-up” lunch with conversation starters that will help continue the talk about drug awareness. Plus, everyone should make sure to pack something red in your lunch. On Thursday, its “turn your back to drugs!” so wear your clothes backwards and try to wear something red! On Friday, we are having a crazy hair day and having a special treat to wrap up this eventful week!
