Rose Room is a Little House classroom for ages 2-3 years old on the Toledo Campus. Stacey Alfonso and Molly Kujawa are the classroom’s co-teachers.

Meet Birch Elon.  Stacey and Travis welcomed him into the World on July 21st at 5:17 a.m.  He came into the World weighing 8 pounds and measuring 20 inches.  As you can see he is adorable (just like mom and dad).  Stacey misses all her West Side friends and promises to come visit when she is feeling up to it.

We wish her and Travis congratulations!

Rose Room friends have been enjoying the nicer weather!  We went for a nature walk last week after some light showers.  We were rewarded with worms!  Our friends enjoyed watching the little worms wiggle. We also have work in the classroom.  This is work for two friends.  After putting on a necklace, the two friends have fun digging for worms and lady bugs. Then we enjoyed some octoball!  Octoball is a game the big kids play, but we had fun running in the octagon and chasing balls!

Little House also has been busy planting flowers and plants in our gardens.  If anyone would like to donate plants or seeds for our garden area please let us know.

Little House friends welcomed the Book Fair truck!  Little House has filled their bins with books if you are interested in donating books to the classroom.  This makes for a wonderful year end gift!

Calamity Day information was sent home in back packs.  It is IMPORTANT that you send in the reservation form if you would like your child to attend that day.

Please remember to sunscreen and bug spray you child prior to school each morning.

Summer is almost here!  Stacey, Molly and Jessie will be here this summer!  We would love to have you join us!

Reminder:  Stacey’s baby shower is next Thursday, May 29 at 4 p.m. in the library.  She is not finding out the gender.

We enjoyed Special Friend Day!  The children were busy showing their special friends all the hard work they enjoy.

Summer Is Coming Soon!

Stacey, Jessie, and Molly are happy to announce they will be teaching Summer Camp!  Come spend the Summer with your Little House friends and have a great time.

Warm Weather Notes

With the weather getting warmer we will be outdoors more.  Please apply sunscreen and bug spray prior to school.  If your child stays all day please send a tube of sunscreen (labeled) and bug spray (labeled) for after nap.  You will also need to fill out the topical ointment form found at and turn in with your child.

It was so nice to have warm weather again!  We took advantage of the sunshine and warmer temperatures this week.  We opened up the patio and the children were invited to work outside or inside.  They enjoyed the change of scenery.

Soccer Shots came to visit this week!  The Rose Room friends had so much fun learning about soccer.  You can sign your child up for this after school activity by clicking here: Extracurriculars.

Thank you to Delaney for our adorable new picture.  One of our favorite songs is our “Hello” song.  We sing hello in different languages.  This beautiful picture features many of the languages we use.

Today we said goodbye to our friend, Letizia.  Her family is moving to Peru.  The children all had a chance to say goodbye.  We wish them well.
