Music Teacher (Toledo)
West Side Montessori, Toledo Campus, has an opening for a general music teacher for first through eighth grade and fifth through eighth grade band teacher beginning August 2023.

Could you see yourself using the one-to-one iPad-to-student ratio in fourth through eighth grade to teach your general music class? Would you appreciate having a music room that has a collection of band instruments to direct a 5th through 8th grade band, a full set of Orff instruments, boom-whackers, and a Smart Board to teach a general music class? Located on 37 acres of beautifully wooded property, West Side is approximately five miles from the Michigan border. We have served the Northwest Ohio community since 1975. West Side Montessori educates 400+ children 13 months - 8th grade. We are one of the largest private Montessori schools in the country and are accredited by the American Montessori Society.
In addition to the general music curriculum, West Side students are fortunate to experience curriculums from specialized instructors that include:
- Montessori classrooms
- Art (grades 1 - 8)
- Technology/STEM (grades 1 - 8)
- Physical Education (kindergarten - 8th)
- Outdoor Education (toddler - 8th)
- World Language (preschool - 8th)
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum requirement, BA in music education or related field
- Current ODE licensure in Music Education preferred
- Experience teaching music and band or willingness to develop these skills
Position Details:
This is a salaried position working during the school year of mid-August through early June. West Side Montessori also offers a summer camp program where teachers and assistants may choose to work (full or part-time) during the summer months for additional pay. Some of our teachers teach after-school extracurriculars for extra pay as well, along with private or small group lessons.
