Math Olympiads
Several Middle School students from WSM were among the nearly 160,000 students worldwide to participate this year in the Math Olympiad Program.
They participated in a series of five monthly contests of five problems each and weekly practice sessions under the supervision and coaching of their teacher, Dawn Fenicle.
Miriam Hill was awarded a trophy for the highest individual score from WSM's Middle School and an embroidered felt patch for placing in the top 50% of all Middle School participants. Katie Simon, Derin Apul, Cole Barga, Cooper Gensler, and Audra Summers were also awarded the embroidered felt patch for placing in the top 50% of participants in the Middle School division.
