Alum Max Shelton Named Valedictorian

Congratulations to West Side alum Max Shelton (‘19) on being named Valedictorian of his graduating class at Central Catholic! Max had direct involvement with every aspect of high school life and completely embodies West Side’s “Portrait of a Graduate.”
As a compassionate leader he was class president for three years, National Honor Society vice-president and then president, a student ambassador, participated in Youth Leadership Toledo, and more.

One must be a self-motivated learner to rise to the top of your class, which Max accomplished while also tutoring others for the ACT, co-founding a summer success program, and serving on Central’s dance marathon financial committee for multiple years.

As a confident communicator in all activities, including sports, Max managed the basketball team for three years. He also played golf for three years, soccer for one year, and basketball for one year.

We wish Max the very best as he continues his education next year at the University of Tennessee!
