Sophia Roberts

Sophia joined West Side Montessori in third grade, stepping into an environment that nurtured her curiosity and creativity.
Over the years, she embraced a range of activities, from playing soccer at Maumee Rec and tennis at Shadow Valley Tennis Club to learning guitar alongside her dad. These experiences enriched her time at West Side, helping her grow both academically and personally.

Among her favorite moments, Art class stands out the most, as it offered a space where she could express herself freely and enjoy the creative process. She also loved her seventh-grade ELA class, as well as the unforgettable MMUN trip to New York, which was filled with exciting and meaningful experiences. Her Montessori education has prepared her well for high school, strengthening her time management skills, work ethic, and the maturity necessary for success.

Sophia is grateful to have spent her middle school years at West Side, where she has formed strong friendships and gained knowledge beyond what many schools offer. As she moves forward, she will attend St. Ursula Academy, with aspirations of excelling academically, participating in clubs and sports, and earning a place in honors and AP courses.

Looking beyond high school, Sophia hopes to attend a great college, build a successful career, and find happiness—whether in fashion or another path she chooses. Her advice to younger students is simple yet powerful: be yourself, work hard in school, and explore different clubs, sports, and activities—then commit to them.

Reflecting on her journey, she is deeply grateful for her time at West Side Montessori, cherishing the experiences and connections that have shaped her into who she is today. "I'm glad I stayed at this school. I love it so much."
