Summer Camp

West Side Montessori is proud to offer an enriching array of opportunities for children from 16 months through grade 6 to enjoy our multi-week summer camp program.

  • Little House

    Toddler, for children 16 months - 3 years*

    The Little House summer program is designed to be consistent with our Montessori school year program, in a relaxed, more outdoor-oriented atmosphere. Campers enjoy developmentally appropriate big messy projects and activities within the indoor and outdoor classrooms.

    Children eligible to use this program should be currently attending WSM. New families should email the Summer Camp Director to discuss openings for your child.

  • Children's House

    Preschool, for children 3 years* - Kindergarten

    Each camp session offers an exciting program that allows the children to explore engaging materials while a counselor offers exciting and enriching lessons.

    Weaving in Montessori's Peace Curriculum, STEM activities, and the Arts, children will be eager to return each day. Children will enjoy the prepared indoor and outdoor classroom spaces, water play, and the natural playground!

  • Elementary

    For children who have completed grades 1 - 6

    Elementary camp is combined for children who have recently completed grades 1 through 6. The program allows children the opportunity to learn, play, and discover in a relaxed social atmosphere.

    Each week of camp will include exhilarating themes, swimming at St. James Club, exploring the great outdoors, and leadership opportunities. Additional field trip details will be provided for elementary participants upon registration.

Summer Camp full-day hours differ from the academic school year.

  • Half-Day: 8:30 am - 11:30 am

    • Drop off: 8:15 am - 8:30 am
    • Pick up: 11:30 am - 11:45 am
    • Half-day program options are available for only morning sessions.
    • Please note, we cannot accommodate child care for lunch or afternoon sessions if your child is registered for a half-day program. If you need your child to stay for lunch or the afternoon program, please register for a full-day program.
  • Full-day: 8:30 am - 3 pm

    • Drop off: 8:15-8:30 am
    • Pick up: 3-3:15 pm
  • Child Care

    • Afternoon child care: 3-5:30 pm

Weekly Themes

West Side’s Summer Camp partners with organizations and small businesses for unique presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and events that provide one-of-a-kind experiences for campers.

It's 2026, and we're gearing up for another summer full of creativity, discovery, and fun! Each week offers hands-on activities, games, crafts, and adventures inspired by an exciting theme.
 
*Some weeks have program-specific themes (Little House & Children's House / Elementary).

  • Week 1: June 15–18 (4-Day Week) 

    Discover the Magic
    Campers will explore imagination and wonder through magic-inspired crafts, simple science tricks, storytelling, and creative play.
  • Week 2: June 22–26 

    Rainbow Week (Little House & Children's House)
    Children will learn about color, light, and weather through vibrant art projects, experiments, and hands-on activities.

    Economics Week (Elementary)
    Campers will be introduced to age-appropriate money concepts like saving, spending, and trading through games, teamwork, and pretend businesses.
  • Week 3: June 29–July 2 (4-Day Week) 

    Let’s Play Ball!!
    A high-energy week focused on sports, teamwork, skill-building, and fun physical activities in a supportive environment.
  • Week 4: July 6–10 

    It’s a Bug’s Life (Little House & Children's House)
    Explore the fascinating world of insects with outdoor discovery, science activities, nature crafts, and hands-on learning.

    Mythical Creatures & Cryptids (Elementary)
    Imagination takes center stage as campers dive into legends, creative art, storytelling, scavenger hunts, and adventure games.
  • Week 5: July 13–17 

    Munch Around the World
    Campers will “travel” the globe through food-themed crafts, cultural games, and kid-friendly cooking activities that celebrate world cultures.
  • Week 6: July 20–22 (3-Day Week) 

    Aloha Summer!
    End the summer with tropical fun, including island-inspired crafts, games, music, and refreshing water activities.
