We have had two children in Middle School at West Side (one is an eighth-grader now). Everything West Side does from Little House through sixth grade is building to make Middle School the crowning glory of students’ experience. Middle School has engaged both our (very-different-from-each-other) children deeply in a broad range of subjects across the curriculum.
My son, Braden, is a graduate of the WSM class of 2021 and a current freshman at Saint Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He received first honors this past semester and is an all-A student. He is involved in several clubs, after-school service hours mentoring elementary students, and plays rugby. I am so grateful I decided to transfer him to West Side for 7th and 8th grade because I firmly believe his success at Saint X is owed to his time at WSM. The transition to high school was seamless even with an entire move to a new city.
I am a mother of four and a current WSM parent. My son Kevin is in 6th level and my son George is in Little House. In addition, my two oldest children attended WSM through 8th grade; both of my girls now attend Notre Dame Academy.

I’m turning 19 years old here in a few days and serving in the United States Marine Corps in North Carolina. Though I’m gone and graduated, I frequently think about the relationships and adventures I had during my time in middle school. Let’s be honest, WSM middle school is the part everyone looks forward to most in their Montessori career; at least I know I did!
