Ways to Give

We are grateful for our many parents, alumni, staff, parents of alumni, grandparents, and friends who support West Side Montessori’s top giving priority, the Annual Enhancement Fund. These annual gifts positively impact our entire community.
Giving to the Annual Enhancement Fund supports our extraordinary teachers and programs that continue to inspire West Side Montessori’s exceptional learning environment. Your gift to the Annual Enhancement Fund paves a path for WSM students to become confident communicators, compassionate leaders, and self-motivated learners.

Ways to Support the Annual Enhancement Fund

List of 7 items.

  • Cash Gifts

Cash contributions, for which donors receive tax benefits if they itemize their deductions, are a key source of Annual Enhancement Fund dollars. Checks should be made payable to West Side Montessori and may be sent to:

    Development Office
    West Side Montessori
    7115 W. Bancroft
    Toledo, OH 43615
  • Charge Your Gift

You may choose to charge your gift on your MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American Express using our convenient and secure online giving form.
  • Recurring Gift

A monthly gift allows you to spread your giving across the entire year.  Set up a recurring gift now.
  • Gifts of Securities

A gift of appreciated securities, held for more than one year, may provide a greater tax advantage than a gift of cash. Capital gains on the appreciation are avoided, and you receive a tax deduction for the stock's fair market value. Securities will be valued at the average of the high and low trading prices on the day the gift is transferred to West Side Montessori.
  • Matching Gifts

Many companies will match donations from their employees. Contact your employer's personnel office to determine whether your company participates in a matching gift program.
  • Deferred Gifts and Bequests

Donors may find they can make a more substantial gift through a deferred gift than through an outright contribution. Usually, deferred gifts are trust funds that generate income paid to the donor during his or her lifetime, with the principal going to the school after the donor's death. Donors receive full tax benefits for their contributions. Bequests that are realized and consistent with the school's goals will be counted in the fiscal year in which they are given.
  • Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Gifts may be made in memory of an individual who has passed away or specified to honor a member of your family or the school's family.
