Karen Weeks Scholarship
The K'Dub scholarship was founded in memory of Karen Weeks, a beloved WSM teacher who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a child in the Lower Elementary program who the staff feels symbolizes all the best characteristics of a Montessori student.
K'Dub 2025: Disco Dash!
The 2025-2026 school year marks our 20th annual running/walking event, which helps fund a scholarship in memory of an admired and cherished West Side teacher, Karen Weeks. Our event is named after Karen's nickname, K’Dub.
Money raised will go towards funding the Karen Weeks Memorial Scholarship and general tuition assistance.

The K'Dub is a casual fun run (5K or whatever you’re up for!) and will be held on our beautiful Toledo Campus. The action will take place on Friday, September 5, starting at 5 PM. Registration is required to attend. Our Disco Dash theme honors the year of West Side’s founding - 1975! Be sure to order a swag bag to complete your vibe for the afternoon.
This family event is fun for all ages - you can walk, run, or come to just have some fun! Check out all that you can enjoy!
