Our Mission:
Established in Toledo, Ohio in 1975, West Side Montessori is not just a school; it's a family-oriented educational community engaging and inspiring children to discover their potential within an environment promoting mutual respect, social responsibility, natural curiosity, and a love of learning.
Our Montessori-certified teachers, administrators, and assistants fully implement a world-renowned curriculum for children ages 13 months – grade 8 making West Side one of the largest, most successful private Montessori-accredited schools in the nation. Montessori training is not a requirement for employment. Teachers complete their Montessori training, fully paid for by the school, after the first year of teaching at West Side. A yearly stipend for health care expenses is also provided to full-time employees.
West Side's dedicated teachers, on average, have over 10 years of experience in Montessori classrooms! Each classroom is led by a team of two teachers making the ratio in our elementary classrooms a low 12:1. Our teachers believe in the Montessori Method because they have seen the results—WSM graduates are confident communicators, compassionate leaders, and self-motivated learners.
