Middle School Takes Home Awards from Power of the Pen District Tournament
Power of the Pen is dedicated to helping young people find and develop a creative voice that is uniquely their own.
In January, WSM Middle Schoolers competed against 15 other schools in the Northwest Ohio Region's District 1 Power of the Pen Tournament (POP). Students are given a prompt and have 40 minutes to write an original essay. Qualifying students will move on to the Northwest Ohio regional competition next month.
