Power of the Pen Team Takes Home Several Awards in District Tournament!

WSM's Middle School Power of the Pen team recently competed in a district tournament held in Lima, Ohio, where they competed against 14 other middle and high schools from the area.
7th-grade Team: 4th Place Overall
Individuals awards:
Shaan Lealh - 11th place
Calleigh Barga - 8th place
Elea Stepnick - 6th place
 
8th-grade Team: 1st Place Overall
Individual awards:
Kieran Davis - 9th place
Hazel Shanahan - 7th place
Lauren Metzger - 6th place
Ziad Yassine - 5th place
Skylar Sachs - 1st place
 
“Best of Round” awards will be announced at a later date.

Many of the West Side writers are advancing to the regional tournament on March 11th at Lourdes where they will compete against the top 50% of writers from 30 other schools in the region.
