Welcome to West Side Montessori, nestled on 37 acres of picturesque wooded property just a stone's throw away from the Michigan border. Since 1975, our school has been an integral part of the Northwest Ohio community, offering an exceptional program for children aged 3 years to Kindergarten. As one of the largest private Montessori schools in the nation, our educational endeavors extend to children aged 13 months to 8th grade, impacting the lives of over 400 students each year. Accredited by the esteemed American Montessori Society, we pride ourselves on providing a holistic learning experience.
At West Side, we believe in enriching our students' lives beyond the core curriculum. That's why we offer a variety of specialized programs taught by dedicated instructors. From art (grades 1-8) to music (preschool-8th grade), technology/STEM (grades 1-8) to physical education (kindergarten-8th grade), outdoor education (toddler-8th grade) to world languages (preschool-8th grade), our students have the unique privilege of exploring diverse subjects, nurturing their passions, and broadening their horizons.
This part-time position follows the school year calendar, spanning from August to June. Your hours will be from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing you to fully embrace the peaceful atmosphere at West Side. And guess what? We also offer a fantastic summer camp program where you can opt to work (full or part-time) during the summer months, offering you additional pay and endless opportunities for fun and growth.
To join our dynamic team, all you need is a high school diploma. You will receive an hourly rate of $14. With small class sizes of just 24 children per room, you'll always work alongside a co-assistant or collaborate closely with a classroom teacher during lunchtime. Plus, you'll be surrounded by a supportive team of passionate individuals who genuinely love what they do. We also provide professional development opportunities, ensuring that your own growth as an educator is nurtured and celebrated.
