Lower Elementary Teacher (Grades 1-3)

West Side Montessori, Toledo Campus, is currently seeking a dedicated Lower Elementary Teacher for first through third grade, starting in August 2024.

West Side Montessori, Toledo Campus, is currently seeking a dedicated Lower Elementary Teacher for first through third grade, starting in August 2024. Our school is nestled on 37 acres of picturesque woodland, just five miles from the Michigan border. Established in 1975, West Side Montessori has grown to become one of the largest private Montessori schools in the country, serving over 400 children from 13 months to 8th grade. We are proud to be accredited by the American Montessori Society.

In addition to the Montessori classroom lessons and curriculum, West Side Montessori students have the unique opportunity to engage with specialized instructors in various subjects, including:

  • Music (kindergarten - 8th)
  • Art (grades 1 - 8)
  • Technology/STEM (grades 1 - 8)
  • Physical Education (kindergarten - 8th)
  • Outdoor Education (toddler - 8th)
  • World Language (preschool - 8th)

Educational Requirements:
  • Current ODE licensure in Elementary Education preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience teaching at the elementary level or willingness to develop the skills to do so

Position Details: 
This is a salaried position working during the school year of mid-August through early June. West Side Montessori also offers a summer camp program where teachers and assistants may choose to work (full or part-time) during the summer months for additional pay. Some of our teachers lead after-school extracurriculars for extra pay as well.
