Alum Takes Sculpture to Another Level

Sam Thomas (’19), now a sophomore at Maumee Valley Country Day School, has expanded on his talent for creating clay sculptures with stop motion animation.

Sam has been working on his first film, Loch and the Algae Monster, for an independent study project. Sam said, "I wanted to touch on a local issue, algae bloom. It is about a young boy named Loch who discovers his lake has been taken over by the Algae Monster." Watch the film and see more of Sam's work on Instagram or TikTok.
