The 2021-22 school year marks our 16th annual running/walking event, which helps fund a scholarship in memory of an admired and cherished West Side teacher, Karen Weeks.
Karen taught at WSM from 1988 until she lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005. She wanted to leave her mark at West Side and requested in her will that a scholarship be established in her name. For the past 15 years, a scholarship has been awarded to a child whom the staff feels symbolizes all the best characteristics of a Montessori student. Our event is named after Karen's nickname, KDub.
Money raised through this event will go towards funding the Karen Weeks Memorial Scholarship and general tuition assistance. Thank you for your support!
K'Dub returns to an in-person event with virtual options still available. It is going to be a bright, cheery, colorful event to help us celebrate being able to gather outside!
