Nutcracker Ballet Presentation with Special Guests
Students, faculty, and staff gathered for a special presentation on the international history of The Nutcracker ballet, led by ballet dancer and West Side Montessori French teacher Sylvie Vitaglione.
West Side Montessori was honored to host the dancers from Toledo Met's upcoming Nutcracker production at Lourdes University. This inspiring event set the stage for an Upper Elementary and Middle School field trip to the performance later this week.
Taking questions from the audience, the guest dancers and WSM students with roles in the production shared behind-the-scenes insights into the world of stage performance. Attendees were delighted to explore authentic costumes from the production—including tutus, pointe shoes, capes, and masks—and meet the lead dancers in person.
